Penn State Lehigh Valley, in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is offering a review course designed to provide an overview of key areas in Human Resource Management and prepare candidates for the Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources certification examinations.
Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus in Center Valley on the following Saturdays: Jan. 19, 26, Feb. 9, 23, March 2, 16, 23, and April 6, 13 and 27.
The course includes six extensive modules that correspond to the six functional areas as defined by the Human Resource Certification Institute: strategic management, workforce planning, human resource development, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, and risk management.
