Family Carnival to benefit Altoona's THON efforts

Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON will hold its second annual Family Carnival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 3, in the Adler Athletic Complex and Slep Student Center.

The community is invited to join in the fun, which includes laser tag, a moon bounce, carnival booths, board games and a showing of the Super Bowl on the big screen.

The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, also commonly known as THON, is a year-long fundraising and awareness campaign for the fight against pediatric cancer. This effort engages more than 15,000 students across Pennsylvania in hopes of finding a cure.

Admission is free.
