A painting shows an elderly man holding a cat on the left side and a young girl holding a banjo on the right side while a map of the world is in the background.

In her four-panel work “An Adjustment” for the HUB-Robeson Galleries exhibit “C/O Commonwealth,” artist Tiara Zhané ponders what will happen if humans don’t make adjustments to their ways of living. One panel depicts an elderly man standing opposite a young girl. “I feel like in our culture, we don’t treat our elderly in the best ways we should,” she said of the panel. “I’m predicting more people not willing to start a family and just ending up alone.” The exhibit runs until July 25, 2021, in Art Alley.
