Graduate students at Penn State College of Medicine provided toys to children at Penn State Children's Hospital and collected coats and blankets for those in need during the holiday season.

For more than a decade, the Graduate Student Association at the College of Medicine has organized a coat drive.

Faculty, staff and students from the College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center donated coats and blankets.

Victoria Silvis and Erika Dahl, students in the Biomedical Sciences Ph.D program, delivered coats to the Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg and dropped off blankets at local animal shelters Dec. 6.

This year’s coat drive was done in association with One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit organization.

The graduate students also collected toys for patients at the Children’s Hospital and delivered them Dec. 19.
