One of the many exhibit photographs displayed in Pattee Library's Sidewater Commons is this winter photograph of the “new” Pattee Library shortly after construction was completed in 1940, when the Pattee mall area was still open to cars and its majestic elm trees were still abundant, only in their fourth decade of growth.
