"Coronal Plane"

Coronal Plane sculpture by Cristin Millett

Coronal Plane is Cristin Millett's most recent sculptural installation. Based on her research of the anatomy theater at the University of Padua, built in 1594, it reveals a "dissection" of the theater, referencing the dissections that took place there. Her goal was to create an architectural environment that allows viewers to walk into and through a space that evokes physical, emotional, and psychological reactions similar to those experienced in the historic anatomy theater in Padua during the Renaissance.
