Four new shows announced for Pullo Center's 2016-17 season

YORK, Pa. — Penn State York’s Pullo Center has announced four new shows for the 2016-17 season, including the comedy of Dave Coulier on Sept. 22; Pete Nelson of Animal Planet's “Treehouse Masters” on Sept. 29; the holiday melodies of the Vienna Boys Choir, Christmas in Vienna, on Dec. 17; and the unique sounds of Recycled Percussion on March 31, 2017. All four performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at The Pullo Center Box Office, by phone at 717-505-8900, or online at http://pullocenter.york.psu.edu.Dave Coulier is perhaps best known as “Joey” from the hit ABC television series “Full House,” which aired for eight seasons and can now be seen on “Nick at Nite.” Highly regarded for his voice-over talent, Coulier’s additional credits include many Saturday morning cartoon favorites such as ”Scooby Doo,” the re-syndicated version of “The Jetsons,” “The Muppet Babies,” and most recently on Cartoon Networks’ “Robot Chicken” and the “Bob and Doug” animated series. Coulier also co-stars in “Fuller House,” which began airing on Netflix in 2016. Tickets are $22 for the general public. Penn State York faculty and staff can purchase a ticket for just $10 at The Pullo Center Box Office, and beginning Aug. 22 students can obtain one free ticket at the box office.  “The Treehouse Guy,” Pete Nelson, is the star of Animal Planet’s “Treehouse Masters.” Nelson runs Nelson Treehouse and Supply, the company responsible for designing and building some of the world’s most incredible treehouses. He and his wife, Judy, currently own and operate Treehouse Point in Washington state, a retreat featuring a half-dozen treehouses for guests to rent. With a reputation for limitless imagination and incomparable skills, Nelson is widely known as the best treehouse builder in the world. Living by the motto “if you dream it, you can build it,” he constantly pushes his clients’ treehouse expectations to the max. With an arsenal of experience, Nelson continues to design and build treehouses the world has never before seen. Tickets are $55 VIP or $35 for the general public. Penn State York students can purchase one general ticket at the box office for the special price of $18.

The Vienna Boys Choir, the illustrious group of child musicians, has been delighting music lovers across the globe for six centuries with its purity of tone, distinctive charm, and popular repertoire. Christmas in Vienna showcases these gifted musicians with voices of unforgettable beauty in an extraordinary program featuring Austrian folk songs, classical masterpieces, popular songs and, of course, holiday favorites. Tickets are $59 and $44. Penn State York students can purchase a ticket at the box office for $22.Since Justin Spencer formed Recycled Percussion in 1995, the band has been unstoppable. Their junk rock music became a national phenomenon week after week during their smash-hit performances on "America’s Got Talent" in 2009. Playing more than 4,000 shows and 400 corporate events in more than 15 countries, the group has also done guest appearances on “Carson Daly,” “The Today Show,” “China’s Got Talent” and the “Latin Grammy Awards.” After being featured on the cover of USA Today and being voted National Act of the Year a record-breaking six times, the band gained worldwide recognition. Tickets are $50 VIP or $32 for the general public.
