Braile Summer Academy

Students in the Summer Academy for students who are blind or visually impaired take a cooking class with Chef Kristi Branstetter, food lab instructor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. In the class, students prepare breakfast using braille recipes and directions. One focus of the class is to help students become more independent in the kitchen by teaching and practicing such skills as cutting, chopping and timing.
