Brandywine continuing education director named to statewide role
Margaret Bacheler, Penn State Brandywine's continuing education director for the past eight years, has been named senior director of statewide continuing education and workforce development for Penn State's 20 Commonwealth campuses. The three-year appointment began Jan. 6.

Summer Founders Program offers $15,000 to student startup teams
The 2020 Summer Founders program provides selected Penn State entrepreneurial teams (founders) $15,000 to work full time on their startup, social good or nonprofit idea. Working over the summer, the program provides workspace and a plethora of resources and support.

Student energy, environmental research funding available
A student seed grant competition is now accepting proposals for funding that will support energy and environmental laboratory research. The call is open to undergraduate and graduate students at any Penn State campus. Up to $2,500 is available for accepted proposals.

Brandywine students study overseas in Barcelona
Penn State Brandywine students took their stateside studies overseas for a week of learning abroad in Barcelona during winter break. The trip was through Brandywine Global Programs, which offers a unique study abroad model that uses hybrid courses to allow students to engage in affordable, international travel while earning college credits.
