Nuclear science, engineering spark collaborations across Penn State and beyond

The Radiation Science & Engineering Center, home to the Breazeale Reactor —the nation’s first licensed and longest continuously operating nuclear research reactor — is expanding to accommodate an equipment donation valued at $9.8 million and to facilitate more advanced neutron beam research as well as the growth of nuclear engineering at Penn State.   Full story

Biodiversity seed grants support innovative collaborations across Penn State

Seven Penn State faculty teams have received seed grants for biodiversity research as part of the 2021 “Mainstreaming Biodiversity in a Decade of Action” symposium, developed by Christina Grozinger, Publius Vergilius Maro Professor of Entomology and director of the Center for Pollinator Research, in collaboration with Penn State’s Sustainability Institute.  Full story
