Penn State University Athletic Conference postpones fall sports
Penn State Commonwealth Campuses Beaver, Brandywine, DuBois, Fayette, Hazleton, Greater Allegheny, Lehigh Valley, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Scranton, Schuylkill, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre and York will follow national movement among small conferences and push pause on play this fall due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Brandywine professor publishes book on active learning in business education
Julie Stanton, associate professor of business at Penn State Brandywine, recently published a book called "Role-Play Simulations," which provides instructors of all experience levels with frameworks for understanding role-play simulations and implementing them in their classes.

Pre-arrival requirements for Penn State students for return to campus, community
As part of Penn State's Back to State plans, the University has shared requirements for students to meet prior to returning to campus and local communities this semester, including signing a coronavirus compact, self-quarantining, and, for some, completing a pre-arrival COVID-19 test.

Back to State testing, contact tracing and monitoring plans outlined
Penn State will be implementing a COVID-19 testing program that will consist of in-house and third-party contracted testing for symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals. The plan includes testing individuals from locations with a high prevalence of the disease before arrival on campus as well as daily testing throughout the semester.

Penn State learning spaces prepared for hybrid teaching and learning
Penn State faculty and students are preparing to return to classrooms across the Commonwealth at the start of the fall semester. When they do, it will be to rooms equipped with technology to support teaching and learning in both in-person and online formats.

Reminder: Students can still apply for CARES Act emergency financial aid
Penn State students who were enrolled during the spring 2020 semester and incurred qualifying expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic can still apply for emergency financial aid to help defray those costs.
