Penn State began using GlobalProtect as its Virtual Private Network earlier this year. Those who haven't made the switch yet must do so before they can access certain protected University resources.

Penn State Berks takes first place in the Anthem AI hackathon
The Penn State Berks Data Lions team recently took first place in the Anthem AI 'Substance Use Disorder and Whole Health of the Person' Hackathon, a competition to identify risk factors related to substance use, and conditions indicative of underlying substance abuse.

Strategically engineered nutrition program 'The Pursuit By You' wins $7,500
"The Pursuit By You" took home a $7,500 first-place prize in the Ben Franklin Technology Partners TechCelerator @ State College virtual pitch event, which awarded $10,000 to local entrepreneurs. Six entrepreneurial teams pitched their business concepts to a panel of independent judges and showcased innovative technologies in health, augmented reality and education, among other markets.

English professor has profound impact on teaching and learning at Penn State
In 1998, Professor of English Stuart Selber created Penn State's first online English class, and in 2021 he received the Teaching and Learning with Technology Impact Award. These achievements bookend over 20 years at the University in which Selber has leveraged technology to help engage students and transform education.
