Story: Penn State crosses $1 billion mark in current campaign
Penn State has now raised more than $1 billion in its current fundraising campaign, "A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence." The announcement from Rick Sokolov, campaign chair, came at a meeting of volunteers charged with helping the effort to hit its $1.6 billion goal by June 30, 2021.

$6.3 million project will preserve, expand Federal House at Penn State Behrend
Penn State Behrend will renovate and repurpose the historic Federal House, the oldest brick structure in Harborcreek Township, to create a new home for the Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Community Outreach, Research, and Evaluation (CORE). The $6.3 million project will be funded by private support and by the University.

Military family upbringing inspires gift from Penn State liberal arts alumnus
With a $2 million estate gift, Liberal Arts alumnus Geoffrey Morton (1982) is creating a scholarship for students of military families in the College of the Liberal Arts as well as campus beautification endowments for Penn State's Mont Alto and University Park campuses.

Hazleton innovation hub named for local leader Pasco Schiavo
Penn State and the Invent Penn State initiative are honoring the late Pasco L. Schiavo, a longtime champion for Penn State Hazleton and the surrounding community who passed away Dec. 29, 2018, by naming the Hazleton LaunchBox in his name. The naming recognizes Schiavo's stature in the region and a $1 million gift from his estate to the campus.

Scholarship established at Penn State Beaver will benefit LGBTQA community
A Robinson Township man has funded the first-ever scholarship for Penn State Beaver students who advocate for, or contribute to, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally community.

Groundbreaking set for new building at Penn State York
A groundbreaking ceremony set for 1 p.m. April 17 signals the beginning of a construction project to build the Graham Center for Innovation and Collaboration at Penn State York. "The Graham Center for Collaboration and Innovation will transform the Penn State York campus. It will provide a permanent home for our growing Graham Fellows program and allow the campus to offer new entrepreneurial leadership programs open to every student on our campus," said David Christiansen, chancellor of Penn State York.
