Impacts of gambling in Pennsylvania to be explored
Penn State researchers are exploring unknown territory when it comes to gambling in the state of Pennsylvania. Glenn Sterner, assistant professor of criminal justice at Penn State Abington and coordinator of the Greater Philadelphia Office of the Criminal Justice Research Center, has been awarded a contract through the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs to assess impacts of interactive, online gaming in Pennsylvania.

Commonwealth Campuses offering employees voluntary asymptomatic COVID-19 testing
During the month of October, Penn State Commonwealth Campuses will be offering opt-in, asymptomatic COVID-19 testing for faculty and staff who are working on campus and wish to be tested. Testing will be available only to employees who are listed in the University's Return to Work database.

Penn State to create 'wellness' days for spring 2021 semester
To support the mental health and well-being of students, faculty and staff, Penn State will build "wellness" days into the spring 2021 academic calendar in place of the traditional weeklong spring break.
