Story: Penn State extends remote course delivery through spring semester
Based on evolving federal guidance and statewide mitigation plans announced by Gov. Tom Wolf around the growing coronavirus pandemic and the global efforts underway to stop its spread, Penn State has extended the remote-delivery period for all classes through at least the spring semester. Examinations will also be administered remotely. Additionally, spring commencement ceremonies will be postponed while the University explores options for celebrating the achievements of our students.

UHS taking enhanced precautions to protect patient, staff health and safety
Beginning March 16, Penn State University Health Services at University Park will limit services to patients with a scheduled appointment only. Students experiencing upper respiratory infection or flu-like illness must call the UHS Advice Nurse line at 814-863-4463 for appointment scheduling.

University Libraries closing all locations
Thursday evening's (March 19) announcement by Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf closing all "non-life-sustaining businesses" across the commonwealth, effective at 8 p.m., necessitates the closure of all Penn State University Libraries locations, effective immediately and until further notice. University Libraries virtual library services and resources remain open and faculty and staff are available remotely to assist with Penn State academic and research needs.

Emergency fund to support Penn State students amid coronavirus precautions
As Penn State continues to navigate the unprecedented challenge of the coronavirus (COVID-19), many community members have asked what they can do to support students adversely impacted by process changes and campus closures. Through a newly launched effort, gifts to the Student Care & Advocacy Emergency Fund will be made available to students in financial need across the commonwealth who apply for emergency assistance.
