As Penn State's Renaissance Fund celebrates its 43rd year of honoring outstanding community members and helping students in need, the fund's board of directors has selected James Franklin, head coach of the Penn State football program, as the 2019 honoree. Sally Metzgar influenced many at Penn State Behrend
Sally Nelson Metzgar, a longtime supporter of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, and its students, died July 19, at the age of 83. The Metzgar Center at Penn State Behrend is named for Sally Metzgar and her husband, Bob Metzgar.

Penn State Scranton music program receives grant from Schwartz Mack Foundation
Penn State Scranton's music program recently received another big financial boost from the Schwartz Mack Foundation. The foundation awarded the program with a $7,500 grant that can be used for programming and other needs over the next year.
