Students in the Social Entrepreneurship and Community Leadership course offered by Penn State Great Valley split into teams to work with four local small businesses to develop infomercials, marketing plans, social media guides and more.

Students develop resources for immigrant communities during COVID-19
The Penn State Center Philadelphia, Center for Immigrants' Rights Clinic, and faculty in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology and Education at Penn State worked with students in Penn State Law on a project designed to address the needs of immigrant communities in the context of COVID-19.

Brandywine student completes internship/degree with support from grant program
During her final semester at Penn State Brandywine, human development and family studies (HDFS) major and May 2020 graduate Carly Dill interned at the West End Neighborhood House in Wilmington, Delaware — an experience that gave her both a practical application of her studies and a clearer direction for her future.

Penn State Brandywine appoints language scholar as academic affairs director
Wiebke Strehl, dean of humanities and professor of German at the University of North Carolina Ashville, has been named director of academic affairs at Penn State Brandywine, effective Aug. 3.

Penn State commonwealth nurses unite to meet the University's health care needs
Under normal circumstances, the dedicated nurses who work at Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses already provide essential resources and guidance to the students in their care. Now, during the pandemic, they're working together to find ways to continue to serve their communities.

'The Investment' student startup TV show taping to take place virtually
For the past three years, WPSU, Penn State University Park's local NPR and PBS affiliate station, and the Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP) have collaborated to host the statewide Inc.U undergraduate student startup competition. The competition culminates in the six finalists competing head-to-head on the live "Shark Tank-style" TV show, "The Investment."

Penn State to meet or exceed Wolf administration's higher education guidelines
While Penn State's plans for fall 2020 are still under consideration, the task groups working on returning students and employees to campus are planning to meet or exceed the expectations for colleges and universities announced June 3 by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Students and visitors urged to continue physical distancing, avoid groups
Even as stay-at-home orders gradually lift in many Pennsylvania counties and businesses begin to partially reopen across the state, Penn State leaders remind students, employees and visitors that the governor's plan maintains critical social distancing and mask-wearing guidelines to help prevent the spread of coronavirus on campuses and in their surrounding communities.
