9/18: Penn State COVID-19 Dashboard updated
Penn State released its preliminary coronavirus testing results for the period of Sept. 11 to 17 on its COVID-19 dashboard today (Sept. 18). Among students tested at the University Park campus whose test results have been received, Penn State received 306 positive results from its on-demand testing and 14 positive results from its random testing program.

Computer science student participates in University-wide research program
During the past academic year, computer science major Renusree Bandaru was an active student — spending her time serving as president of the women in engineering club, participating in the multicultural club and, of course, staying on top of her classes. But the end of the school year didn't slow down Bandaru, who participated in Penn State's Multi-Campus Research Experience for Undergraduates program this past summer.

Sheetz, University announce new partnership to help make college more affordable
A new partnership between Penn State and the convenience store chain Sheetz will provide education benefits to the company's employees, an initiative aimed at helping the employees complete their college degrees.

New Zoom setting changes to take effect on Sept. 27
Penn State was informed by the Zoom vendor on Sunday, Sept. 20, that the security updates planned for Sept. 27 will not take effect as announced. As a result, Penn State Zoom users will not see any changes to their current security settings. Details on any future security updates from Zoom will be provided to the Penn State community as soon as Penn State IT is made aware.
