Story: Board of Trustees approves terms of proposed NCAA lawsuit settlement
By a unanimous vote, the Penn State Board of Trustees on Jan. 16 approved the terms of a proposed settlement of the lawsuit relating to the Endowment Act. According to the settlement, the July 2012 Consent Decree between Penn State and the NCAA has been dissolved, and all punitive sanctions eliminated.

As part of his initiative to help students and families facing financial pressures, Penn State President Eric Barron on Jan. 16 proposed to the Board of Trustees a freeze of tuition rates for eight of the 19 undergraduate Commonwealth Campuses for next year, in addition to presenting five other recommendations.

Public Health Sciences at Hershey ranks second in funding among peers
The Department of Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine is ranked second among its group of 49 peer institutions in 2014 funding from the National Institutes of Health, according to the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research.

Sexual assault and sexual harassment task force recommending series of actions
A University-wide task force charged with reviewing all existing Penn State initiatives and assessing and advocating best practices to make the University "a true leader in the prevention of sexual assault" submitted its recommendations to Penn State President Eric Barron for his review.

Landscape architecture alumnus thrives in Italy
Since graduating from Penn State in 2002, Philip Adiutori has been working as a landscape architect and planner on a variety of international projects ranging from civic design to luxury hospitality and resort planning. He is currently the design director and partner of VIDA Landscape Architects + Planners in Florence, Italy.
