Penn State welcomed military veterans, active duty, and their families to a day of tailgating and Nittany Lion football at Beaver Stadium on Nov. 16. Penn State earned their ninth win of the season with a 34-27 victory over visiting Indiana.

The Nittany Lion welcomed World War II veteran Francis Chesko onto the field at Beaver Stadium. Chesko served as a combat engineer in the Army’s 7th Armored Division. He fought in Normandy and elsewhere in France, Germany, and in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He is a purple heart recipient. Penn State's theme for this year's Military Appreciation was the "Greatest Generation."
