2009 Founders' Day 1
Greg Hyde and Nadina Fraimow, Lion Ambassadors for the University, handed out free hot chocolate and cookies in celebration of Penn State's 154th "birthday" this Sunday (Feb. 22). It took only 14 minutes for all the food and beverages to be handed out.

Lion Ambassadors Megan Francis and Carrie Salvin served cupcakes in the HUB-Robeson Center in honor of the 154th anniversary of the founding of The Farmers' High School, which grew into what we now know as Penn State.

As one of the celebratory events, pink and blue air-filled balloons were released inside the HUB, to the joy and surprise of students.

Kyle Brzezynski played a round of Ka-Plunk near a HUB-Robeson Center entryway. Games were part of the party to celebrate Penn State's 154th "birthday," known to some as Founders' Day.

Megan Maczonis spun the wheel and waited to see which color it landed on. Prizes, color-coded to match the wheel's colors, included extra tickets for raffle drawings and Penn State T-shirts.
