Penn State Great Valley graduate Jennifer Spevak (master of education, instructional systems), who spoke on behalf of students at the campus' 22nd commencement on May 4, summed it up best. The campus conferred more than 300 master's degrees to students in their education, management and engineering degree programs. The ceremony was held at the campus' conference center in Malvern, Pa.

Amy L. Bertram, who earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Penn State Mont Alto, held her daughter following the campus' commencement ceremony on May 5.

Professor of Art Bud Gibbons, Chancellor Kevin Snider, and retiring Director of Academic Affairs Arlene Hall lead the recession from the Athletics Center during Penn State New Kensington's spring commencement ceremony, held May 5. Hall was the commencement speaker and will be retiring this summer after 36 years of service to the campus.
Hazleton 1
Penn State Hazleton graduate Priyanka S. Chawan, from Mumbai Maharash, India, turned her tassel after receiving her degree from campus Chancellor Gary M. Lawler. Chawan was one of three students who studied Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State Hazleton for the past two years. Lawler conferred 76 associate degrees and 42 baccalaureate degrees during the May 4 ceremony.

John Lydon, CEO at the Auberle and Pauline Auberle Foundation in McKeesport, Pa., spoke to graduates at Penn State Greater Allegheny's commencement ceremony, held last weekend. Lydon, whose foundation serves at-risk children and families, spoke to graduates about the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community.
