Participants at Penn State's Science-U Jr. Sleuths summer camps are encouraged to create a hypothesis explaining what results they predict prior to conducting a fun and educational chemistry experiment. Following examination of the milky solution of corn starch and water, campers at Penn State's Science-U Jr. Sleuths camp were asked to try to run through the trough and found they could walk on water. The experiment showed youngsters entering the 2nd and 3rd grade that some substances are not easily defined and can take on different compositions.
