Vicki Bem, a junior at Penn State majoring in animal science, cared for a one-day old lamb at the Penn State Sheep Barns on Oct. 16. It's lambing season at the facility and College of Agricultural Sciences staff and students are busy providing support for both the lambs and mothers.

Less than 24-hours ago this mother gave birth to twin lambs at Penn State's Sheep Barn facility on the University Park campus. Fall lambing season is in full swing and staff and students are providing support for a number of newborns and their mothers.

A lamb, less than 24-hours old, nursed on the morning of Oct. 16 at the Penn State Sheep Barn facility on the University Park campus. The fall lambing season at the facility provides an opportunity for students in the College of Agricultural Sciences to witness a number of births as well as give support to the new borns and mothers.

A three-day old lamb got the opportunity to move, with his mother, into a larger area of the Penn State sheep barn facility and stretch his legs a bit.
