WNEP-TV did a live remote broadcast from Penn State's University Park campus on Monday morning, July 19, to kick off "Go Joe XIII for St. Joseph's Center," a charity bike ride undertaken by Joe Snedeker, Newswatch 16's morning meteorologist.

Cameraman Bill Schultz got shots of Penn State's University Park campus from the Old Main bell tower for WNEP-TV's live broadcast. Although Schultz, a 1988 Penn State alumnus, was a Lion Ambassador, he never made it up into the bell tower until this assignment.

During one of his live cut-ins to the WNEP-TV Newswatch 16 This Morning program, anchor Tom Williams, a 1987 Penn State alumnus, told viewers about the Old Main bell, which was moved this year from the tower seen in the background to its current location.
