There are multiple organizations within Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania., whose missions are to strengthen the economic landscape and overall success of their community. In this fragmented environment, active community volunteer Lisa Robinson, instructor of business at Penn State Schuylkill and World Campus, recognized an opportunity to fulfill part of the University’s land-grant mission to "engage with our communities in order to make them better places to live,” and began conducting research to learn how she could bring cohesion to these many efforts. Her research focused on different strategies to centralize the amazing efforts of the area’s multiple organizations and culminated in the creation of DiscoverSchuylkillHaven.com.

DiscoverSchuylkillHaven.com was designed to centralize and promote all the great things happening the 17972 zip code—including Penn State Schuylkill. Join us for an overview of this dynamic community development project that is now working 24/7 to showcase Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania.
