Penn State Laureate to speak on mental health

Penn State’s 2019-20 Laureate, William Doan, will give a free, public presentation at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Student Union Building Lodge at Penn State Beaver.

Doan, a professor of theater in the College of Arts and Architecture and an artist-in-residence in the College of Nursing, will speak about his endeavor, "The Anxiety Project." The project includes 400 drawings, graphic medicine publications in the Annals of Internal Medicine, and a live performance. It explores what it’s like to live with anxiety and depression and is based on personal experience and research on mental health.
