'67 Women, 67 Counties: Facing Breast Cancer in Pennsylvania' Traveling Photo Exhibit

Penn State Schuylkill, Student Community Center

Penn State Schuylkill is hosting the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition's traveling photo exhibit, "67 Women, 67 Counties: Facing Breast Cancer in Pennsylvania," from Oct. 8 to 20.

This touching traveling photo tribute showcases at least one woman from each of the state’s 67 counties and serves as a unique reminder of the emotional and physical toll breast cancer takes on each woman and her family. The exhibit encourages women to learn about and practice early detection through yearly mammograms, monthly breast self-exams, and annual clinical exams.

Kick off the event with us from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Hear from survivors and health care professionals, while enjoying hors d'oeuvres. All activities will occur in the Student Community Center.

This event is part of Penn State Schuylkill's Week of Hope. All events are free and open to the public. The women featured in Schuylkill County's photo tribute are Jeanne Elberfeld, executive director of Schuylkill County's VISION, and Andrea Solinski, lab assistant at Penn State Schuylkill.
