Penn State Schuylkill

Penn State Schuylkill’s Kids College is a proven educational program designed to keep kids inspired and motivated during their summer break. Kids College programs will be held on the beautiful Penn State Schuylkill campus just outside of Schuylkill Haven. Students will be exposed to a university experience, have access to college-level resources, and learn valuable skills they will use for a lifetime.

Week of June 10-14

Coding Camp for Beginners

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-noon

If you have an interest in computers and technology and would like to get an introduction to computer programming, then this camp is for you! You will learn how a computer works, the elements of computer programming and guided exercises. Don’t worry if you have no computer experience, because none is required. Come prepared to learn a lot and take the first step towards getting exposed to one of the hottest skills available.

Magical Book Club

Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m.

Muggles and wizards alike will enjoy this educational and entertaining program that will take them on a magical journey into this legendary Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling. This interactive camp will incorporate reading, discussion, hands-on activities and more. Students will learn to use their creative expression, put pen to paper, and expand their love for a lifetime of reading.
