Adult Teaching and Learning Symposium - Penn State Faculty and Staff Only

Join Penn State New Kensington for a complimentary professional development conference aimed to learn more about supporting adult learners and veterans. The Adult Teaching and Learning Symposium is open to all faculty and staff of Penn State.

The event features a keynote address, "The 21st Century Adult Learner," by Diana Gruendler, faculty-in-charge, LAS; law and society, as well as breakout sessions, idea sharing and networking.

Event Agenda:

12:15 to 1:15 p.m. – Keynote Address: The 21st Century Adult Learner and Adult Learner Survey Results Presentation (a brief overview of survey results of adult learners' classroom preferences, experiences, barriers, etc.)

1:30 to 2:15 p.m. – Breakout Session 1: Supporting Veterans and Adult Learners in Western PA or Overview of Options for Earning PSU Credits

2:30 to 3:15 p.m. – Breakout Session 2: Adult and Veteran Student Panel or Engaging Students Outside the Classroom

3:15 to 4 p.m. – Idea Sharing and Networking (appetizers provided)
