Protecting Your Ideas: Intellectual Property Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs

Conference Center Building

Whether you are an artist, musician or entrepreneur, safeguarding your ideas is essential. In this introductory session, Rachel Herder will share the basics of intellectual property (patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets) including what you can and cannot protect and the limits to your legal rights.

Rachel Herder is an assistant professor of clinical law and the director of the Intellectual Property (IP) Clinic at Penn State Law, at University Park. The clinic trains outstanding intellectual property lawyers by having law students counsel Pennsylvania innovators, entrepreneurs, small businesses and early-stage start-ups in IP strategy. Services provided include: patents, trademarks and general IP counseling.

This event is sponsored by the REV-UP Center for Entrepreneurship at Penn State Great Valley. Please register by April 1.
