    A mare leads her 4-month old colt to a cool drink of water on a warm July morning at Penn State's Equine Facility. Part of the Department of Animal Science, some of the hands-on courses taught at the University Park facility include routine preventive care procedures and breeding management.

  • Governor Wolf at NIL press conference

    Governor Tom Wolf discussed the opportunities that the new NIL legislation provides for student-athletes during a press conference hosted on July 12 by Penn State President Eric Barron at Beaver Stadium. On July 7 Governor Wolf signed into law an article that will allow college-athletes in the state of Pennsylvania to earn compensation for their name, image and likeness.

    A new, retractable dome was delivered to Davey Laboratory on Penn State's University Park campus and carefully put in place at the facilities rooftop observatory on the morning of June 21. The observatory is an essential learning and research tool in  Penn State's Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

    Julie Rockwell, a collection specialist at Penn State's Frost Entomological Museum, creates high definition, digital images of northern cadisflies at the museums laboratory. The collection of images will be available for research globally inside a digital database.
