Penn State leads child maltreatment research

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recently awarded Penn State with its first-ever grant to develop and build a national center for child maltreatment research. The $7.7 million will be used to establish the Center for Healthy Children, where faculty will conduct cutting-edge research focused on the detection, treatment and prevention of child abuse and for training the next generation of scientists and advocates.
