Student ticket sales begin June 24 for 2013 football season

The 2013 Penn State student football season ticket sale will begin on Monday, June 24, and run through Friday, June 28. The senior class again will kick off the annual sale on Monday, with the sale continuing through the graduate student ticket sale on Friday. Penn State students who want to be part of the passion and pride of the energetic student section should prepare for the sale this week to ensure the smoothest experience possible.

Penn State announced Friday (June 14) that the no bag policy instituted at the Blue-White Football Game in April will remain in effect for all athletic events during the 2013 fall semester.

Penn State's Sept. 7 home opener vs. Eastern Michigan has been set for a noon kick in Beaver Stadium. The contest against the Eagles is Penn State's fifth announced kick time for the 2013 season. Big Ten Network will televise the Penn State-Eastern Michigan game to a national audience, the Nittany Lions' second announced BTN game of the season.

The student-athletes are eligible for the Big Ten’s highest honor as the Jesse Owns Men’s Athlete of the Year and the Suzy Favor Women’s Athlete of the Year.

Penn State's 127th season opener, against old rival Syracuse, has been set for a 3:30 p.m. kick on Aug. 31 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The 71st contest against the Orange is Penn State's fourth announced kick time for the 2013 season.
