Penn State Centre Stage to present 'Love's Labour's Lost'

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Penn State Centre Stage will complete its 27th season with Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost," directed by Edward Stern, from Feb. 12 to 23, in the Pavilion Theatre.

Love and loquacity. Passion and puns. Rhetoric and romance. The Bard takes wordplay and wit to their most impressive in this clever comedy. The King of Navarre and his men take an oath to devote their lives to scholarship -- without the company of women. But what they didn't anticipate was a visit from the beautiful Princess of France and her three gorgeous ladies-in-waiting. Will the oath hold? Or will the men succumb to the game of love?

Comedian Moss looks to bring laughs, cultural understanding Feb. 6

Comedian and writer Preacher Moss will present his "End of Racism" comedy tour at 7 p.m. Feb. 6, in the auditorium of Penn State Beaver's Student Union Building. The event is free and open to the public.

Bryant Reginald Moss earned the nickname "Preacher" because of his imitations of the pastor at his family's church. Raised as a Christian in a Maryland suburb, he attended a local military academy and converted to Islam at age 20.
