Nittany Lions to host Buckeyes on Oct. 27 for all-stadium WhiteOut

Penn State's prime-time clash with unbeaten Ohio State will kick at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and air on ESPN, the Big Ten Conference announced Monday, Oct. 15. All Penn State fans are encouraged to wear white for the all-stadium Penn State WhiteOut, as the Buckeyes make their first visit to Beaver Stadium since 2009. The Penn State Sports Network and http://www.GoPSUsports.com will begin coverage at 4 p.m. before the Nittany Lions' fourth appearance on ESPN this season.

New Year's resolution: Wear white at the Rose Bowl

All Penn State Football fans who are traveling to Pasadena: Wear your white to cheer on the Nittany Lions when they take on USC in the Rose Bowl. Penn State is going into hostile territory on New Year's Day, in a virtual home game for the Trojans. As is tradition for Penn State fans when they go on the road, even out the atmosphere in the stadium and make your presence known by wearing white.

Beaver Stadium rocked for all the nation to see and provided the critical 12th-man advantage Saturday, as 12th-ranked Penn State stopped No. 22 Illinois, 38-24, in the 2008 prime-time "White Out" telecast by ABC and enjoyed by all except a few brave, orange-clad fans among the 109,626 that comprised the eighth-largest crowd ever assembled on the University Park campus.
'Rally in the Valley' set for Friday; white out on for Illini clash

The Blue & White Society and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics are teaming up to host the traditional "Rally in the Valley" football pep rally at 8 p.m. Friday (Sept. 26) in Rec Hall. Saturday's clash against No. 21 Illinois has been declared a Penn State White Out. All fans are requested to wear white to the sold-out contest. Penn State (4-0) is ranked No. 12 after defeating Temple, 45-3, on Saturday.

Add ESPN The Magazine to the list of national media that agree with what Penn State football fans already knew - the Nittany Lions' student section is the nation's best. In the magazine's Aug. 25 issue, the loud and proud Penn State student section dominated the categories the publication ranked to earn distinction as the nation's Best Overall student section.
