Jon Gosselin of 'Jon and Kate Plus Eight' at Penn State this Saturday
Jon Gosselin, father of the Gosselin sextuplets and co-star of the reality TV show "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" on TLC, is scheduled to speak to Penn State students this Saturday (Feb. 7) at University Park. The Gosselin sextuplets gained international media attention when they were born at Penn State Hershey Medical Center on May 8, 2004. In 2008 the family filmed an episode of their show at Penn State Hershey's neonatal intensive care unit because the inquisitive young children wanted to see where they were born.
Jon & Kate plus 8 visit Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center
Jon and Kate Gosselin spent several months at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2004 leading up to and following the arrival of their sextuplets on May 10 of that year. Already the parents of twins, the Gosselins and their family's story struck a chord with the public and became an interesting premise for a reality TV show on cable channel TLC. For the sextuplets' fourth birthday, the Gosselins returned to the neonatal intensive care unit to show their inquisitive young children where they spent the first days and, in some cases, months of their lives. On Labor Day (Sept. 1), TLC will premiere the "Jon & Kate + 8" episode titled "Kate's Labor Day," which features Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. The show, now in its third season, airs Mondays at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
