Basketball tailgate event set for Jan. 30

Penn State York's sixth annual Chili, Chips and Cheer Basketball Tailgate Party will be held Jan. 30 before the women's and men's basketball teams take on Penn State Brandywine. Refreshments will be offered prior to the games. The women's team plays at 6 p.m. and the men play at 8 p.m. in the gym in the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Penn State Beaver's annual Penn State Day celebration will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20, on campus and will include an Open House, carnival, and athletic events. Events include a campus carnival, an admissions open house, and a tailgate to watch the Penn State vs. Northwestern game. The public is invited to attend a tailgate hosted by the Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, Saturday, Nov. 13, at Zooky's Sports Tavern, 450 Constitution Boulevard, Beaver Falls, Pa. The Penn State Nittany Lions will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus, Ohio; game time will be announced. The tailgate will begin 30 minutes prior to kick-off. Alumni will have one more reason to return to their alma mater for Homecoming--the Alumni Zone Homecoming tailgate on Oct. 9. The post-game tailgate, beginning immediately after the game, will be a big blue-and-white party featuring an unlimited buffet, live music, appearances by Penn State celebrities, games and more.
