Screening of 'Bully' to take place Feb. 19

The community is invited to attend a special screening of a documentary on bullying. This screening will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at noon in Swimmer Hall, located in the Williams building at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. This event is free and open to the public.

CONSOL Energy makes $25,000 gift to Penn State Fayette

CONSOL Energy recently presented a gift of $25,000 to Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. The gift is part of CONSOL Energy's "Financial Aid to Education" initiative, which supports the campus' mining technology associate degree program. This program at Penn State Fayette offers students the education they need to fast-track into supervisory positions in mining production and maintenance.

Students to compete in MATHCOUNTS competition at Penn State Fayette

Nearly 80 students from seven school districts in Fayette and Greene counties will be participating in the 2013 MATHCOUNTS competition held at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. This competition will begin at 9 a.m. Feb. 5, in the Maggie Hardy Magerko Auditorium in the campus' Community Center.

Penn State Fayette to offer SAT Prep Courses

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus is offering a five-week SAT Prep Course for high school students. The course is designed to help students best prepare for an important part of their college admissions process.

The course includes strategies and techniques for taking the test and a review of verbal and math concepts. Students will also work on how to tackle the essay portion of the test. The 2013 spring SAT test dates are March 9, May 4 and June 1.

Blues and White Gala raises nearly $40,000 for student scholarships

The fourth annual Blues and White Gala scholarship fundraising event hosted by Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus May 12 raised nearly $40,000 for student scholarships. This brings the total of Blues and White scholarship funds to $138,000 over the four years the gala has been held.

Top Penn State students compete for Scholastic Excellence Award

Three of Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus' top students presented academic research papers at a special presentation on Tuesday, April 17. Rebecca Corvin, Rachael Franks, and Shirley Rojas Acosta are competing to win the campus' top Scholastic Excellence Award. All three students will receive monetary awards for their work.
