The Penn State Engineering Alumni Society has announced the recipients of its Fall 2013 Affiliate Program Group grants. Six APGs received grants between $250 and $1,000 for various programs and initiatives led by engineering alumni groups.
The deadline to sign up for the engineering alumni tailgate for the Nov. 17 Penn State-Indiana football game is fast approaching. Those interested in attending are asked to register by Wednesday, Nov. 7. The event, hosted by the Penn State Engineering Alumni Society (PSEAS) and Dean David Wormley, will start three and a half hours before kickoff at the Bryce Jordan Center's Founders Lounge.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) swept the Penn State Regional Rube Goldberg Contest for the fourth year in a row, winning first place overall and the People's Choice Award, on Saturday afternoon at the Nittany Lion Inn Ballroom. In addition to winning a trophy and cash prize, ASME earned the chance to represent Penn State at the national competition held on March 31 at Purdue University.
