Stimulus grant to fund new lab space at Hershey Medical Center
1/21/11
Research space at Penn State College of Medicine will increase thanks to the nearly $2.8 million awarded to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The money is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Two office suites on the second floor of the college will be converted from administrative office space into open laboratories, lab support rooms and offices for principal investigators in the Penn State Hershey Drug Discovery Program, which helps researchers explore potential drugs to treat disease. The complete project will encompass approximately 9,000 square feet.
