Pittsburgh media cover Beaver campus students' candlelight vigil

The Penn State Beaver Student Government Association held a candlelight vigil at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1 in recognition and support of sexual abuse victims of all ages. The vigil, held beside the pond at the Brodhead Cultural Center, was attended by more than 50 students, staff, faculty, and members of the community, including Beaver County District Attorney Anthony Berosh. The event was covered that evening by KDKA-TV News, Pittsburgh, and the following morning in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Pentz joins Beaver campus IT staff

Nicholas Pentz has been named computer systems specialist in Penn State Beaver's Office of Information Technology. The position requires a broad range of skills, including knowledge and experience with personal computers, hardware and software, audiovisual and media systems, and procurement and budgeting. Additionally, he is qualified to work in a variety of operating systems, software, Microsoft applications, computer languages, and conferencing technology. Pentz holds a bachelor's degree in communication/emerging technology and multimedia from Slippery Rock University. He can be contacted at njp114@psu.edu or 724-773-3573.
