Darlene Coulanges, a former Penn State Beaver student, was named the first Ms. West Indies PSU in a competition sponsored by the Penn State Caribbean Student Association (CSA). Coulanges, of Providence, RI, spent her freshman and sophomore years at Beaver and is now a junior majoring in human development and family studies at Penn State University Park. The event was held Nov. 27 at Heritage Hall in the Paul Robeson Cultural Center.

Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences is marking the nationwide observance of International Education Week (Nov. 13-19) by rolling out a new dual-title graduate degree in International Agriculture and Development.

Penn State Altoona will implement a security and risk analysis baccalaureate degree (information and cybersecurity option) in the fall semester. This option includes a set of new courses that provides a sound overview of the theories, skills and technologies associated with network security, cyber threat defense, information warfare and critical infrastructure protection across multiple venues.
