President of largest U.S. real estate company to speak at Smeal

Penn State alumnus Richard Sokolov, president and chief operating officer of Simon Property Group, Inc., will deliver this year's Advance Realty Group Real Estate Lecture at the Smeal College of Business on Nov. 5. Sokolov's talk will begin at 10:10 a.m. in 108 Business Building. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Brent W. Ambrose, Smeal professor of real estate and director of the Institute for Real Estate Studies at Penn State's Smeal College of Business, has been elected president of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA), the leading worldwide academic organization in real estate, mortgage finance and urban economics. His one-year term began Jan. 1. Ambrose is the third Smeal faculty member to serve as president of the organization.
