The Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) will reveal a years-long project, the DMAIG Mosaic, in an event at 11 a.m. on Feb. 18, outside of the THON Store at the HUB-Robeson Center. The mosaic is a collection of photographs submitted by Penn State students, alumni, THON volunteers and THON supporters from around the globe.

“Is this really trash?” This was the question posed by the HUB Green Team at a recent event held at the HUB-Robeson Center’s food court. With help from Penn State’s Sustainability Institute, the HUB Green Team collected 32 bags of trash from the food court area during peak lunch hours. The intent was to determine how much of the waste in the trash bins could be recycled or composted — and where to make improvements in the waste management setup.
Earlier today (Oct. 12) Penn State Police were alerted to an anonymous post at 10:29 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, on the social media platform Yik Yak threatening a possible shooting at the HUB at noon on Monday, Oct. 13. University Police continue to investigate the threat and remain on high alert. Police will have an increased presence at the HUB on Monday and University Park campus operations will continue as normally scheduled.
Overall work on the HUB-Robeson Center expansion project is continuing on schedule, as members of the project executive committee saw during a tour of the construction site last week.
The Penn State community will have the chance next week to make its mark on the HUB-Robeson Center. Students, alumni, faculty and staff can stop by the first floor of the HUB from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on April 29 and 30 to sign two 21-foot beams that will be used as part of the ongoing expansion and renovation project for the building.
A small amount of insulation caught fire in a stairwell wall cavity during construction-related demolition today (Dec. 30) at the HUB-Robeson Center on Penn State's University Park campus. The fire was extinguished quickly and there were no injuries.
Penn State’s 2014 Senior Class Gift Committee announced today (Oct. 23) that the class has chosen to support the HUB Green Roof Terrace as its gift to the University. The seniors' gift will enhance and expand the HUB-Robeson Center's green roof terrace, part of the current expansion and renovation.
