Shaver's Creek Environmental Center, a part of Penn State Outreach, will hold two special events in the coming weeks aimed at pleasing visitors of all ages. Festival-goers can enjoy local bands, locally grown food and beautiful scenery on Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Music Festival -- during Penn State's Parents and Families Weekend, Sept. 28-30 on the University Park campus -- followed by a celebration of autumn at the Fall Harvest Festival on Oct. 20 and 21.

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus will hold the 39th annual Shakespeare Festival Jan. 24-28. This popular weeklong event returns with a variety of activities including various acting demonstrations, special exhibits and a performance of a Shakespeare play.

The National Players from the University of Maryland, America's longest-running classical touring company, and Shakespeare-in-the-Schools, a popular regional touring company from the University of Pittsburgh, will be featured.

The Penn State New Musical Theatre Festival, in its second season, will present three new works of musical theatre March 21-22, and March 28-29, in the Pavilion Theatre, on the Penn State University Park campus.
