The University Board of Trustees on Nov, 21 approved a request to change the name of the former Housing and Food Services Building at Penn State Greater Allegheny to the Fitness and Cultural Center. Renovations are in progress to create a new function for the building. The building formerly was used as a campus kitchen and dining hall. It was built in 1972 and when the new Student Community Center was completed on that campus in 2003, the former dining hall was then available for alternate use.
