Penn State Brandywine presents 'The Master of Suspense: Alfred Hitchcock'

Penn State Brandywine will welcome Andrew Douglas, director of education at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute, to campus for an attention-grabbing discussion about a pioneer of the film industry, Alfred Hitchcock. Students, faculty, staff and the community are welcome to join Douglas as he presents “The Master of Suspense: Alfred Hitchcock” on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in the Main Building, room 101.

Students give thanks to donors at Scholarship Luncheon

Without financial assistance, including scholarships and endowments, many students find it difficult to pursue a college education. Donors attending Penn State Brandywine's Scholarship Luncheon on Oct. 28 were recognized for making dreams come true by generously investing in the education of Brandywine students.

Penn State Brandywine 'Goes Purple,' talks LGBT equality

In a vivid expression of solidarity, thousands of Penn Staters, both on the Brandywine campus and throughout the world, wore an article of purple clothing on Wednesday, Oct. 20, a day designated as "Turn Penn State Purple," to demonstrate against prejudice and bullying related to sexual identity.

Costa Rican artist brings birds to life in art exhibit

Art has been called a window into a person's soul; an experience that invokes strong emotions and empathy toward the ideas and vision of the artist. Thanks to Sandra Lawrence, instructor in Spanish, the Penn State Brandywine community will experience fine art on campus. From Monday, Sept. 27, until Friday, Oct. 1, students, faculty, staff and the community will be given the opportunity to admire the art of famous Costa Rican painter Hugo Sanchez-Bonilla first-hand at his "Aves" (meaning "birds") art exhibit in the Tomezsko Classroom Building Lounge. An opening reception will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 28.
