Kick time set for April 20 Blue-White Game

One of the highlights of the Penn State sports calendar, Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA, gets under way Friday, April 19 with the Blue-White football game as the centerpiece for numerous activities throughout the weekend in and around Beaver Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon on Saturday, April 20 in Beaver Stadium.

The dates for one of the highlights of the Penn State sports calendar, Blue-White Weekend, have been set for 2013. Blue-White Weekend will be held April 19-21, 2013, with the Blue-White football game on Saturday, April 20 as the centerpiece for numerous activities throughout the weekend in and around Beaver Stadium.

Defense tops offense in annual Blue-White Game

In a battle of offense versus defense, the blue-clad defensive squad posted a 77-65 win over offensive unit wearing the white uniforms in the Beaver Stadium debut of head coach Bill O'Brien in front of an estimated 60,000 fans at the annual Blue-White Game presented by AAA. The special scoring system awarded the offense six points for a touchdown, one point for a PAT, three points for a field goal and two points each for a big play (15+ yards) and two consecutive first downs. The defense earned points by scoring a defensive touchdown (7), a turnover (6), sack (4), tackle for a loss (2) and forcing a three-and-out (1).

Limited parking changes for Blue-White Game; fans can pre-print pass

Fans attending Penn State's Blue-White Game presented by AAA should be aware of some changes to gameday parking around Beaver Stadium. Fans also will have an opportunity pre-print a parking pass for Saturday's contest. The Blue-White Game will kick at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 in Beaver Stadium. Parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Gates A & B will open for fans at 11:30 a.m. for the autograph session, which begins at noon. Gates C & E will open at 12:30 p.m. Gameday parking and admission to the Blue-White Game are free.

Blue-White Game to pit offense vs. defense, feature scoring system

The Blue-White Game presented by AAA will pit the Penn State offense vs. the defense and feature a new scoring system under head coach Bill O'Brien. The Nittany Lion defense will be wearing blue jerseys and the offense will wear white, with the quarterbacks sporting red jerseys as in previous years.

Historical remembrances to highlight Black Alumni Reunion 2012 weekend

This weekend's Black Alumni Reunion 2012 will highlight the collective experience of African-Americans at Penn State, past and present. The event will be held during Blue-White Weekend, April 20-22, on the University Park campus. The weekend will feature two celebrations recognizing key elements of the black experience at Penn State: Lincoln Hall, which housed black male students from about 1930 until 1946, and David Alston, Penn State's first African-American football player.

One-of-a-kind Old Main Elm table up for auction

University alumni, fans and friends have an opportunity to bid on a one-of-a-kind table to be crafted from the limited wood reclaimed from the historic Old Main Elm, taken down in March after it succumbed to Elm yellows disease. The eBay auction began at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, and is available directly at http://goo.gl/DS05n online. Bidding is open until 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22.

O'Brien to speak during Blue-White Weekend events

Penn State head football coach Bill O'Brien will make two appearances during Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA in addition to coaching the Nittany Lions during the Saturday, April 21 Blue-White Game in Beaver Stadium. On April 21, fans interested in purchasing Penn State season tickets will have an opportunity to view sections where seats are available for the 2012 season.

All-Sports Museum celebrates 10th anniversary

The Penn State All-Sports Museum is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and inviting the public to join in the festivities. The Museum will host two open houses: Saturday, April 21 (6:30-9 p.m.) and Sunday, April 22 (10 a.m.-4 p.m.), during Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA. Opened in 2002, the Penn State All-Sports Museum has spent the last decade celebrating the traditions and achievements that have made the Nittany Lions one of the national's elite collegiate programs. The open houses for visitors will feature tours, family activities, games, films and refreshments.

BTN2Go, Big Ten Digital Network to stream Blue-White Game

The Big Ten Network will stream Penn State's Blue-White Game live at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 21, on BTN2Go and The Big Ten Digital Network. BTN also will have highlights and analysis from that day's Big Ten spring games at 7 p.m. ET on April 21 on B1G Tonight Spring Football Edition with Dave Revsine, Gerry DiNardo and Howard Griffith.

Nittany Lion Club hosts Blue-White Event April 21

Penn State head coaches Bill O'Brien and Coquese Washington and the 2012 football senior class will be the special guests at the Nittany Lion Club's annual Blue-White Event on Saturday, April 21. The continental breakfast will be held in the Bryce Jordan Center prior to the Blue-White Game presented by AAA, which will kick off at 2 p.m. in Beaver Stadium.

Blue-White Weekend set for April 20-22

The Nittany Lion football team, led by head coach Bill O'Brien, will culminate spring practice with one of the highlights of the Penn State sports calendar, Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA, set for April 20-22. Kickoff for the Blue-White Game presented by AAA is tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 in Beaver Stadium. The popular autograph session with the squad members will be held before the contest, which will air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com. As in previous years, there will be no admission or parking fee for the Blue-White game.
