Nittany Lion fans keep Beaver Stadium among nation's top draws
Penn State fans continue to prove why they are regarded as the best in the nation as they flocked to Beaver Stadium during Bill O'Brien's first season as head coach.
For the 22nd consecutive season, Penn State's passionate and enthusiastic fans ranked among the Top Five in the nation in average home attendance. Led by an electric sellout throng of 107,818 for the primetime clash with Ohio State, the Nittany Lions averaged 96,730 fans during the 2012 campaign.
Penn State ranked fifth in average home attendance among the nation's 120 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams, according to the NCAA.

New donation, football seating options announced
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics and the Nittany Lion Club announced new donation and football seating options for fans, as plans were unveiled Wednesday (Oct. 3) for the 2013 season. The NLC will encourage members to participate in the One Team Commitment, a first-time, five-year commitment for NLC membership, which allows members to earn significant NLC bonus points each year while demonstrating their longer-term support to the University's more than 800 student-athletes, competing for 31 varsity teams.

Football fans break recycling record for first game of the season
Penn State football fans and student volunteers set a new record for recycling collected after a home game: the 4,356 bags picked up after the Ohio game on Sept. 1 were nearly triple the average post-game collection of 1,500.

Stadium upgrades include WiFi, mobile app, added parking options
Fans will see several upgrades in and around Beaver Stadium when they attend Penn State Football Eve Friday (7 p.m.) and the season-opener against Ohio on Saturday (noon kick). Gameday parking lots will open Saturday at 7 a.m. and Coach Bill O'Brien and the Nittany Lions will arrive at Beaver Stadium's south tunnel at approximately 9:15 a.m. The team buses will use the same route on campus as in previous years. The student gate will open at 10 a.m. and stadium public gates will open at 10:30 a.m.
